When you are looking for the most efficient way of heating and cooling your home, a heat pump is your best option. It combines heating and cooling capabilities into one outdoor unit. Combined with a gas furnace, an electric heat pump is one of the most efficient ways of making your home comfortable regardless of the outside conditions.
There are a number of different features Bryant has on their air heat pumps. These are all things to consider when purchasing a new unit. Two important features are the efficiency ratings and the stages of both heating & cooling.
The two efficiency ratings for a heat pump are SEER and HSPF. SEER, Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating, is a measure of how energy efficient your heat pump is in cooling mode. The higher the rating is the more efficient the unit. The HSPF, Heating Season Performance Factor, is a measure of how efficient the unit is in heating mode. Again, the higher the rating is the more efficient the heat pump.
Stages of heating and cooling are also an important feature when looking to buy a new heat pump. Multiple stages of heating and cooling offer a homeowner increase humidity control along with more overall home comfort control. Multiple stages also cuts down on utility bills because the unit is able to function at a lower capacity when full capacity is not needed to heat or cool the home.
These two features are only a few of the beneficial feature of the Bryant heat pumps. Click on the tabs below to learn more about each individual model.
